Las 10 mejores películas de acción de los años 80 y 90, ayer y hoy

1980-1999 were quite crazy decades for Hollywood. Everyone wanted to come out on top, be at the forefront of fashion, a captivating action star or main characters. During these 20 years, we had many iconic movies that still hold up even by today’s standards, where everything feels artificial and CGI.
Thanks to all that great action, we’ve witnessed the birth of incredible actors like Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan, and countless others. Today, we would like to revisit some of those old-school performers and see where they are these days.
1. Harrison Ford
When Han Solo, Ford blew up as Indiana Jones and “Blade Runner.” Today, funny enough, he’s still playing “Star Wars,” a new “runner-style” and the upcoming “Indiana Jones” sequel. Nothing has changed.
2. Delph Lundgren
The great DODF boyfriend was supposed to make waves in the movie scene. His Ivan Drago is one of the best characters you’ve seen on the silver screen. And in case you forgot, he also portrayed He-Man and Frank Castle (The Punisher). Today, he’s still busy acting, his latest appearance being in “Aquaman” in 2018.
3. Steven the Bay
Honestly, I’ve seen all coastal movies, but I can’t tell you one title. They’re all the same. One thing is for sure – his aikido moves are legendary. Believe it or not, he’s now the sub-director of the store for the sheriff’s office in Louisiana.
4. Ann Paranoade
Meet the only lady on this list. French actress Anne Paranoade was famous for her role as Nikita in Luc Besson’s “Nikita.” This film is Anne’s S-Tier Action Star. But what about today? Well, she’s still working, but her big success has never returned to her.
5. Bruce Willis
“Die Hard.” It’s just “still dying” and nothing more. Most of his biggest movies were in the early 2000s. What about today? There was “Glass,” and Shyamalan still got Bruce for an ongoing trilogy.
6. Arnold Schwarzenegger
This list of Titans goes on and on. Schwarzenegger is now the governor of California, but he still shows up.
7. Sylvester Stallone
After “Rocky” and his ongoing role, Stallone played John Rambo, the crazy cop from Cobra, and equally as the “destruction man” from Demolition Man. Stallone is now doing everything to fit in and judging by Creed 1 and 2, he’s doing a good job.
8. Jean-Claude Van Damme
Did you know he’s actually Belgian and not French? After “Bloodsport” or “Kickboxer,” he’s climbed to Hollywood’s S-Tier. He now has a beautiful daughter and doesn’t seem very involved with the whole movie shindig anymore.
9. Chuck Norris
In short, Chuck Norris has been and always will be the most meme-able person in the world. Unfortunately, Norris isn’t very surprising anymore as since “The Expendables 2,” but maybe someday…
10. Jackie Chan
Action-packed, no-nonsense. It’s no secret that Jackie Chan is certified. I mean he does all his own stunts and rarely uses pads or safety nets. He made over 20 movies in the 80-90s, and unlike Steven’s Seagal, they were all a lot of fun. Today, he still jumps off buildings and fights baddies on the big screen, but he leans more towards suspicious actions than all-out kindness. God bless this man.
